Wet Air Coolers

The wet air coolers are a specialist requirement in areas where 100% relative humidity is required.

A floor standing cooler is used which has an integral water tank and serpentine cooling coil. The coil is cooled with direct refrigeration from an external condensing unit, this in turn cools the water and or air circulating the store.

The store air is drawn in at the front of the cooler across the cooling coil and through the falling water to discharge at low velocity through the top of the cooler.

The water is pumped from the bottom tank up and through a spurge bar to spray the iced water onto the rising store air and then over the cooling coil.

• 100% relative humidity achieved in store.
• Fans before the coils give good and even air flow across the coil increasing efficiency and thereby the fan heat is removed by the coil hence the conditioned air is not reheated causing dehumidification.
• Achieves low weight loss of crop.
• Fan can be designed to draw through the crop at low level.
• Prewired condensing unit complete with control panel and full function user friendly touch panel controller, all ready to accept a single mains electrical supply.
• Alarm readout on screen backed by beacon and volt free relay.
• Inverter speed control of condenser fans as standard.
• Inverter control of cooler fans and compressor available as an option.
• GSM telephone alarm and full data computer download available as an add on.
• Coolers operate as standard down to 0.5°c store temperature with no risk of frosting.
